The idea for this project is the concept of how amazingly powerful nature is compared to the things that men build. You so often see old, falling down buildings in vast fields or waves beating against a forgotten pier. It’s a really interesting concept, I think, and I love the colors we’re working with – especially the dusty blue and the burnt gold. The colors + handwritten type makes for an extra-fun project! (Thank you all for your sweet comments on my last post! Jo loved it when I told him what you all said, and in addition to that…

Simple and Bright
I love how soft and natural this mood board is. This is one of those projects where it just fits, you know? This is the type of collaboration I want to keep doing, this is the kind of person I want to keep working with. We’re doing a complete re-brand for her photography business – from top to bottom – and it’s been great so far. Being able to talk with someone about their business, where they are and where they want to go, as well as being able to help that happen is truly what I love doing. And…
Inspiring Daring >>> Blog Design
Rachelle is a dancer at heart, mixed with a little pirate princess. (Isn’t that an awesome bio? =D) And that’s exactly how she described her style to me…a combination of pretty peaches and icy blues and all things pirate-y. I loved working with Rachelle – she was incredibly sweet and kind throughout the whole process, and was definitely so much fun to collaborate with! Be sure to check out her blog and leave her some love!

Jordan was actually one of the very first bloggers I discovered when I joined the blogging community a few years ago – and it was so neat to learn that she is a pastor’s daughter just like I am, and I loved to (and still do!) see her beautiful photography. So I was pretty excited when she said she was looking to re-do her logo and she asked me to do it! I 100% love her style – in fact, it’s very similar to my own – and putting together her mood board and discussing ideas was the best. I…
Dramatic Elegance Blog Design + Hand lettering
Remember that mood board I posted a while ago that I said I loved for its unique style? Well, this is the finished design! And let me tell you, it was fun to work on. The idea for the design just popped into my head not long after we started talking about all of this, and it was one of those projects where I just knew what I should do. It normally doesn’t happen like that – normally I will work out my many different ideas on paper and think a lot about my options before deciding. But this time…
