Jordan was actually one of the very first bloggers I discovered when I joined the blogging community a few years ago – and it was so neat to learn that she is a pastor’s daughter just like I am, and I loved to (and still do!) see her beautiful photography. So I was pretty excited when she said she was looking to re-do her logo and she asked me to do it! I 100% love her style – in fact, it’s very similar to my own – and putting together her mood board and discussing ideas was the best. I am so happy with the finished logo and the design we created for her blog, The Trees Sing His Praises, and am so glad we got to work together on this!

I have been quickly realizing that there is nothing better than hand-drawn, hand-lettered elements in a design or a logo, and have started to include my own hand made artwork in almost every design. I think my favorite part of working on this project was drawing the trees for the header – pine trees are just so fun to draw, and I LOVE the comfortable feeling they lend to a design that’s otherwise full of crisp computer graphics. One things for sure – drawing your own titles and graphics make your work completely original. No one else in the world could make anything exactly like what you’ve created.
