This Week

We went to see one of our elderly friends this week, a lady in her late eighties whom we’ve known for almost eleven years. She’s gotten to the point where she can’t drive anymore, can’t go out and can’t do all the things she used to do. She’s been like a grandma to our entire family for the longest time, and she never fails to remind us of her love for our family. Time keeps floating by, and as it does her conversation holds more of heaven than I think it ever has before. She keeps saying she’s just waiting…

Monday Inspiration

This week I’ve been loving the work of some of my favorite photographers and designers. I love how the internet is a place where you can discover amazing artists and learn from them, even by just studying their creations! I thought I would share some of my favorites with you all. You know that feeling when you just want to soak up as much knowledge as…

I am just all messed up! I think that’s pretty obvious – I missed Monday Inspiration yesterday, and am posting on the day I normally don’t. But you know what, sometimes change is great, and today I just wanted to write a long-winded blog post about photography and cameras and me. (I also wanted to post tons of photos. You’ve been forewarned. ;) ) I’ve had a Canon Powershot SX20IS for the past three years, and it’s been great. But on Saturday my dad let me use his Canon T1i for the afternoon…and it was awesome. I know it sounds…

Getting out of the Rut

I think we would all love to do away with those days when we get up and we just don’t want to work. It happens to everyone at some point, and learning to get through and overcome those feelings can be so hard. Recently I’ve been discovering some things that act as a pick-me-up when I’m in that rut, and I thought I would share! 1. Drink coffee. Or tea. Or whatever floats your boat (and has caffeine. ;) ) Even doing something as simple as having a healthy beverage helps get me comfortable and ready for the day ahead….
