Clean + Simple : Client Mood Board

Posted on: September 27th, 2013 by Hannah Beasley 3 Comments

We just finished up this project yesterday, and I have to say I love how it turned out! We were going for a very clean, modern style, using the colors of the ocean and some well-placed dark grays. We ended up using a combination of script and typefaces…which I am such a sucker for. When I was working on my own brand I knew I had to use both because I love both styles so much! One thing Alice mentioned to me before we started on the actual design was that she loves the style of VSCO Cam – the…

After looking through all of my photos from our time in Minnesota, I’ve realized that my favorites are the crazy, not-perfect, ipod/phone photos. They aren’t artistic or VSCO Grid-worthy, but they’re the ones that make me smile the most. Monday Inspiration

“Tis the human touch in this world that counts, the touch of your hand and mine, Which means far more to the fainting heart Than shelter and bread and wine; For shelter is gone when the night is o’er, And bread lasts only a day, But the touch of the hand and the sound of the voice Sing on in the soul alway.” I ran across this poem by Spencer Michael Free and thought it was so sweet, and I wanted to share it. Happy Monday, friends. {all images via pinterest. clockwise, from top left: 1 : 2 : 3…

Listening to Of Monsters and Men and Mumford and Sons. Ready for the cold and the snap in the wind and sweaters and hot apple cider. Excited for the busyness and fun of fair week. Need to head to the thrift store for more cozy sweaters. Learning to be content and thankful for every day. Life goes by so quickly – too quickly. Trying new things in design. Simplifying and focusing on what’s important. Missing my friends and thankful for them. Want to get out there and do more with my art… growing is good. Wishing we had a Caribou…

Addie Zierman : Blog + Business Cards

Posted on: September 19th, 2013 by Hannah Beasley 6 Comments

I loved working with Addie on her blog design and business cards – we were going for a professional, writerly feel. She chose a beautiful teal and a burnt orange/gold for her colors, and we went with a very clean and simple layout for the bulk of the design. We ended up moving her site to a new domain, and she was so patient with me as we both worked through all the tiny details of moving and redirecting. We also did business cards for her, which was great as I got to collaborate with Eric and Hannah from Typeset…
