Meghan loves pink. And all things vintage. And writing (she’s written three books!). So we had a blast creating her design…I especially loved the idea of combing black & white/sepia elements with the other girly colors. She was so sweet and kind – truly a pleasure to work with. Seriously, the best projects are the ones where you and your client can connect on a personal level. I really believe so much in life is about relationships, even when it comes to business! I think my favorite part of this design is the header with the hand-drawn flowers. (not my…

“There Is A Pleasure In The Pathless Woods…”
You can’t get better than trees + deep red + hand drawings! I love the rustic feel of this board and the bright colors mixed with darker ones. This is another project where the style is very similar to my own – and it is so much fun to work on something that is so close to the very things that I love. I am looking forward to sharing the finished products! There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music…
Dark Beauty
Dusky purple + distressed wood + gypsy is how I think I would describe this style. I think it is so beautiful and unique – kind of a dark bohemian look with some added sparkle and swirls. This is one of those projects where an idea just popped into my head, complete with all the details. I just love it when that happens, when something just feels right! It makes everything so much easier and a lot more fun. I can’t wait to start fleshing it all out, to show it to the sweet lady I’m working with + see…
Sparkles
Sparkles + glitter have really been growing on me. I used to hate them (I guess they were too girly for me) but I’m starting to really love the excitement a pop of glitter can add to a design or an outfit. So I’m looking forward to doing more with it in this project! This lady’s colors are peach and ice-blue with some brown thrown in there. (Don’t you love the sound of that – ice-blue?) I can’t wait to share the finished project! P.S. Like the new design? I’m gearing up for some very simple but very fun changes…
Vintage Pinks & Browns
I love the balance of these colors. Soft rosy pinks with earthy browns…so beautiful. The lovely lady I’m working with is a typewriter, books, and roses kind of person, with a lot of love for all things vintage. I can’t wait to share the finished project! *And a note: This is my last official work day for 2012! I’m so thankful for what has been an exciting and very full year, and I’m looking forward to starting fresh in 2013. I’m going to be taking a very long rest from now until January 2nd, so I won’t be posting here…
