I knew I would have a lot of fun working on this project as soon as Bailey started telling me what she was envisioning for her site! Her colors were light pink, orange, and ocean tones – pretty gorgeous colors, especially together. {see the mood board} I think my favorite parts of this design are the category links – the dusty blue with pink accent lines. I love how bright and happy this mood board is! On this project we’re going for a simple and light feel with some dashes of color here and there. We’re using hand lettering for the header (love!) and I really like the organic feel it adds. I’ve been enjoying doing more hand lettering on projects – it’s something I want to get better at and use more. This project has been so fun so far and I’m looking forward to sharing more once it’s finished!

I totally enjoyed working on this project for King & King Security – the goal was create a solid visual identity for the company that would convey a sense of strength and protection. The colors chosen were deep red and black…one of my favorite combinations! We ended up going with this simple but bold version – incorporating a modern take on two linking chains. I am seriously loving this project. We’re going with a rustic yet simple look for the logo + site, and bringing in a bunch of beautiful warm tones. I’m a sucker for all things outdoorsy/cozy, so this is right up my alley! I’m so looking forward to sharing the final product.

It’s really amazing how many colors there really are in the ocean – it’s not just blue. There’s ice blue, sea green, pale pink, and even a little orange when the light shines on it or the sand peeks through. I find it so amazing how everything in nature is so well designed and so beautiful. God is the ultimate artist. =) So we’re using sea colors in this design, blues and slight shades of green and pinks, paired with bold sans serif type. She’s going for a clean, modern look – sidebar header, two column, etc. I’m loving it…
