When Ashley contact me in the summer of 2013 about doing a re-brand I was totally on board. I loved her style – all things rustic, cozy, and outdoorsy; and plenty of browns, maroons, and greens. A few weeks ago Ashley contacted me on twitter, and after a few emails back and forth I ended up getting to letter a print for her Overcome the Lie shop! New Website!

Well, a while ago I decided I needed to completely overhaul my website, and especially focus on the portfolio section. I started working on it about five months ago, and it’s taken until now for everything to come together. (but hey, good things take time, right?) I’ve finally finished, though, and am so excited to have everything up and good to go! As far as this blog goes, I’ve actually switched to WordPress (something I vowed a very long time ago not to ever do. Famous last words. ;) ). Creating a hand lettered piece every day (well, mostly every day) has been so great so far. I’m practicing more often than I think I would on my own, and I’m starting to see improvement which is super exciting! =) Today’s piece is a lyric from the song “After the Storm” by Mumford and Sons.
