Be Thou My Vision, Oh Lord of My Heart / Wallpaper

“Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.”

That hymn is one of my favorites – and I thought I’d make another wallpaper using the first line from it. I just ordered some new brushes (Yasutomo Silverado – sizes 2, 3, 4). I already had the 00 brush and loved it, so I thought I’d try out some others. These are totally my favorite brushes now – they’re excellent quality and are perfect for precise hand lettering. Plus they’re stiff enough that you can acheive those thick and very thin lines easily. (If you’re into hand lettering check out www.paperinkarts.com– their prices are great and they have a good amount of supplies. I got my brushes for a little more than a dollar each, which is amazing considering how great they are.)

    I really like hand written letters. Ink creates really nice strokes and differences in tone. These are lovely, nice to see the different colours as well. Hannah.

    • I do too. I feel like there’s something special about hand lettering with ink – there’s added personality and texture that is so different from standard fonts. =) Thank you, glad you like it!
