Monday Inspiration

Lately I’ve been loving all things bright. The simplicity and lightness of these images and graphics are so refreshing and calming. I think it’s fun to be able to change and grow – and to be able to see the difference as time goes by!
I’ve been so busy lately – sometimes it gets tough handling everything, but I am so thankful for all the work I do have. It’s kind of funny – when I started this whole thing back in 2010 I had NO idea that this would be something I would still be doing in 2014. I remember one time maybe five or six years ago meeting a girl who had been a photographer but decided to be a graphic designer instead…and I literally had no idea what a graphic designer was. I think it’s safe to say things have changed since. ;)
Have you taken a path that you didn’t ever see yourself heading down?

This might be my favorite moodboard of yours! So clean and fresh and hopeful.

I used to be set on becoming a photographer so I made a blog and then got hooked on designing it and redesigning it. And while I’ll always love photography, design comes a lot more naturally and I enjoy it all the time, whereas with photography I usually need to be in the mood.

I wish I could say life threw me a curve in the career path, but with two designer parents, I kind of assumed I would end up down this road. Doesn’t mean I don’t absolutely adore every moment of it! I am teaching design courses in the evening now…never saw that coming! Were you originally a photographer? Beautiful work and lovely blog!

    • That’s great that you kind of always knew what you would do, though! There must have been a ton of creativity in your house when you were growing up. =) I was just an amateur photographer…I wanted to go pro in the future, but then design grabbed me and I never looked back! I still love photography, though – just not at the pro level. ;)

Thank you! I really appreciate it!

Yes! I was actually a film major in college, and wanted to be in Hollywood, directing & acting. And then I actually got a taste of Hollywood, and everything changed. I was doing graphic design as a side job at the time, and it ended up becoming my full-time career. Funny how life happens and God takes us in an entirely different, but exciting, direction. :)

That Folk Fibers design is fasntastic,
