The idea for this project is the concept of how amazingly powerful nature is compared to the things that men build. You so often see old, falling down buildings in vast fields or waves beating against a forgotten pier. It’s a really interesting concept, I think, and I love the colors we’re working with – especially the dusty blue and the burnt gold. The colors + handwritten type makes for an extra-fun project! Little Bits of Life
I missed Monday Inspiration yesterday. Sometimes life gets rough and you just don’t feel like you have it in you to do “normal,” you know? Yesterday was like that – a hard kind of day. I’ll be back with Monday Inspiration next week, though. I wanted to post a few shots of my little brother, Jo. It was his birthday almost a week ago, and we’ve been celebrating it for the past six days…the perfect kind of birthday, right?
Simple and Bright
I love how soft and natural this mood board is. This is one of those projects where it just fits, you know? This is the type of collaboration I want to keep doing, this is the kind of person I want to keep working with. We’re doing a complete re-brand for her photography business – from top to bottom – and it’s been great so far. Monday Inspiration (and a life update)
I’m so glad to have Monday Inspiration – it’s a way to slow down a little bit, enjoy others work while taking a break from mine, and being able to share some of my favorites with all of you. I’ve been realizing recently how drawn I am to black and white + neutral design…the piece on the top left is one of my recent favs. Striking black type on a neutral texture gets me every time.
