Monday Inspiration (and a life update)

Posted on: March 4th, 2013 by Hannah Beasley 4 Comments

I’m so glad to have Monday Inspiration – it’s a way to slow down a little bit, enjoy others work while taking a break from mine, and being able to share some of my favorites with all of you. I’ve been realizing recently how drawn I am to black and white + neutral design…the piece on the top left is one of my recent favs. Striking black type on a neutral texture gets me every time. I guess I’m a broken record, but hey, that’s okay, right? I especially love the last two photos, for their colors and the SNOW! I’m still holding out for a big snow here (translation: big snow in NC = 4 inches), and won’t give up until spring. If Arizona can get some (jealous of you, Jessica!), then I think we should too. ;)

I’ve spent this week dying over my new camera and battery grip (okay, I admit I think it looks cool. And yes, that’s part of the reason I bought it. No shame.) I’m so thankful for how everything fell into place to allow me to get the very thing I’ve been wanting for three years…including how my wonderful grandma, Lita, is sending me one of her own lenses! How special is that? I’m so thankful for how wonderful my clients have been, and how many there have been! I have been continually busy with work for more than six months, and all my needs have been provided for. I didn’t need any of this, but it’s been given to me, and I am so grateful.

I’ve also spent the last few days in much nervousness and excitement. It’s one of those times where a certain door might open, one that I’ve been trying to get through for almost nine years. I’m scared it might not happen, elated just thinking about it possibly happening, and trying not to worry about details. I was thinking about these verses this morning, because this is what I need to be doing…trusting Jesus.

Come, behold the works of the Lord,
Who has made desolations in the earth.
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!

The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge.
-Psalm 46:8-11
