Summer

Posted on: July 19th, 2012 by Hannah Beasley 6 Comments

They came so quickly – the hot days, the blueberry picking, glasses of strawberry lemonade while sitting outside – and they’re already flying by. Wasn’t it just yesterday that school was barely out, when the days still had a hint of cool from the winter? Now the sunflowers have bloomed, the grapes are close to ripening on their green vines, and the days are long. I suppose it’s the way of time – how the days seem to slip by without any effort, how sunrise fades into sunset in the blink of an eye.

I’m trying harder to stop my busy pace to catch the last rays of the sun, to go outside and capture the little things that make up life, to appreciate my time. Because it’s slipping by so quickly, and it’s too beautiful to miss.

Hannah – I love the streamlined look of your headers. I also love the moodiness of your photos. :-)

Thanks Aunt Rose! =D I’ve been trying to find an editing style I love for a while, and I think I found it. ;)

Amazing photos! What kind of camera do you use??

I can’t believe that summer is almost gone, either. I’ve been trying to enjoy what’s left of the summer as much as I can. I’m going to miss it so much…

Oh, thanks Emily!! =D I have a Canon Powershot SX20 Is – it’s top of the line for point-and-shoots, but it’s definitely not a dslr. ;) I actually used an action to get those colors.

    I know, I will too!

  5. Your photography has gotten so good! And it looks like you’ve really gotten your style down! Loving it. :)

Thanks so much, Jordan! I’ve been trying to get better with photography/editing, so that means a lot to me. =)
