Peacefulness

// The mood board for one of the awesome people I’m working with // I love the deep colors and peacefulness of her style. Her branding + design boards on Pinterest are so chock-full of eye candy that I couldn’t help stealing quite a few pins for my own boards. ;) She loves bold type + ocean tones + watercolors – some of my favorite elements to work with! I can’t wait to share to finished product. {And coming this week – a tutorial on how to achieve the VSCO look in Photoshop.}

Whispers of Comfort // Blog Design

I’ve known Emily ever since I was six or seven – she taught my 2nd grade Sunday School class at our church. She’s always been someone that I really admire and look up to. She married a wonderful man, Chris, and they adopted a little girl named Erika (who is totally adorable!). Chris passed away six months ago today from cancer, and although Emily has gone through unimaginable grief, the Lord is faithfully healing her. She has been posting on CaringBridge, and her words of trust and faith in the Lord even through all the sorrow have been a blessing…

// The styleboard for one of my clients // I so love the images and colors that she picked out as a visual reference for her brand – the drama and clean lines are just beautiful. She’s an incredibly talented photographer who shoots just like that: creating images that are simple, beautiful, and just stunning. I’m loving working with her on her brand – from her website to her business cards to her cd labels – and I can’t wait to share it all with you once we’re done!

Petals and Freckles // Blog Design

I have another finished project to share! Alexandria from Petals and Freckles is a super sweet soon-to-be-mom, blogger, and tea drinker – and she wanted her blog to have a fresh look in time for the birth of her son. We talked a lot about her style and the look she was going for, and ended up coming up with a really fun styleboard full of earthy colors, textures, and some really neat fonts. I loved working on the design with Alexandria, and I’m really happy with how it came out! Be sure to visit her blog and leave her…

Embellish Paper

I just finished up this project with the lovely Katie from Embellish Paper! She is a very talented calligrapher and soon-to-be-mommy who wanted to really get her business going. She told me that she loves all things chic and vintage with a modern flair, and that her favorite colors are peach and teal. I really love what we came up with – I think we succeeded in really showcasing her beautiful art while letting who she is shine through. Check it out at ww.embellishpaper.com, and be sure to give her a like on Facebook!
