All of that distant thunder that never made sense to me

Everyone has to take time out of their lives every once in a while to just slow down and relax. The busyness of day-to-day life takes over all too often, so those brief moments of quiet and reflection are too precious to be allowed to slip by. I don’t want to get so lost in duties and the details of living that life flies by without me pausing to watch it, to appreciate it.
So we’re going on a short trip, me and my family. Just a handful of days away from our normal schedule to enjoy being together.
