Monday Inspiration

I love the combination of white with wood/lace with browns and reds. It’s so cozy and yet beautiful. This top right photo is so gorgeous – it was taken by one of my favorite photographers, Tyson French. Such a beautiful shot.

I wanted to do something a little different and pick a few specific images from Pinterest that I really love not just for the visual aesthetic, but the content. This first one is of really neat small house. Everything is very compact and neat – everything has its own place so as to minimize the need for space. I would love to someday have a tiny little house like this, off the grid, and be as self-sustaining as possible. The idea of being totally independent is so attractive! My favorite thing about this house is the wood. The dark with the light is beautiful, and creates so much dimension! You can see more photos of it and read more here.

I have what is probably a pipe dream, to one day travel and visit so many places – Italy, Scotland, England, Austria, Germany, and more. There is so much beauty in the world and it would be so amazing to go and see some of it that is so far away from where I live. And within that I have to say I love mountains. Is there anything more majestic? I recently saw Monuments Men (which was excellent) and at the end of the movie they’re in Germany, and the place they showcase is just amazingly gorgeous, with mountains and trees and beautiful old buildings. It would be a dream to visit a place like that.

What country would you visit if you got the chance?

  1. I love your work! You have wonderful taste! And I am so inspired by your faith. Keep it up! I’ve found you on Tumblr and am following. I’m where you were when you started I think, trying to find my voice online and exploring coding, web design, calligraphy, and watercolor lately.
    Best regards,
    Jessica

    Hi Hannah!

LOVE your site and all of your images! I am wondering — in that 3 pack of images up there – how did you get to be so close together and fit so perfectly, under “italy and mountains”???
