The Process

1. The Roadmap

I consider branding to be the process of analyzing your business – where it is and where you want to take it, as well as analyzing yourself – who you are and what makes you unique – and using those discoveries as a roadmap to a solid brand. Who you are, what your business is, your goals and dreams and path all determine what the visual side of your brand will be. I will send you a list of questions about you, your business, and your visual brand in order to get to know you and your business better. These questions are deep and will help you think more about what your business is and what it needs to be!

2. The Mood Board

Once we’ve established that roadmap, it’s time to work on the visuals! I’ll ask you to create a board on Pinterest, full of all the photos, graphics, and colors that catch your eye and represent the look and feel you want for your project. By pinning graphics that catch your eye, you will end up creating a visual representation of the look you want for your brand, even if you weren’t totally sure what you wanted to start with! I’ll then create a mood board from those images and colors. This gives us visual path and establishes the overall style and color scheme.

3. The Final Product

Then it will finally be time to start designing! I’ll draft some mockups for you to see, and we’ll go back and forth on revisions until it’s exactly the way it needs to be. Once you’ve approved the mockup, I’ll use it to create the real deal. If we’re working on branding, I will install your website/blog, and send you the all the final files once the project is done, and you’ll be ready to roll! If we’re working on a stand-alone website or blog, I’ll show you a test blog with your new design, and once you’ve signed off on it, I’ll install it and we’ll be good to go!
